Upcoming Launch Schedule At Cape Canaveral – NASA – Space X – Blue Origin

Did you know that there are multiple space agencies with active launch facilities at Cape Canaveral? NASA, SpaceX, and Blue Origin all have major launches scheduled in the coming months! In this post, we’ll go over each agency’s plans and give you an idea of what to expect from each one. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to lift-off!

September 10, 2022 – SpaceX Falcon 9, Starlink 4–2 & BlueWalker 3
This will be a SpaceX Falcon launch carrying the Starlink communications satellites and BlueWalker’s third-generation GPS satellite. The Falcon has been used for dozens of launches, including many high-profile missions like delivering supplies to the International Space Station.

September 12, 2022 – SpaceX Falcon 9, Starlink 4–34 (CRS-22)
This launch will be the first Starlink mission to reuse a Falcon first stage booster. The rocket will carry 58 Starlink satellites and two BlackSky Global satellites to low Earth orbit.

September 19, 2022 – Blue Origin New Shepard NS-15 (BNS-15)
This will be the fifteenth launch of Blue Origin’s New Shepard suborbital rocket. The mission will carry eight NASA payloads to space and Blue Origin’s technology demonstrator payloads.

NET September 19, 2022 – Space Launch System, Artemis 1 (Orion Crew Capsule Test Flight)
This launch will be an uncrewed test flight of NASA’s new Space Launch System (SLS) and the Orion crew capsule. The mission will send the Orion capsule around the moon and back, testing both the SLS and Orion for future crewed missions to deep space.

ROCKET LAUNCH: NET October 3, 2022, | NASA’s SpaceX Crew-5
Mission to the International Space Station (ISS). This will be the fifth launch of SpaceX’s Crew Dragon spacecraft, and the first to use a reused Falcon rocket and crew capsule. The mission will carry four astronauts to the ISS for a six-month stay. All four astronauts are from NASA: Mike Hopkins, Victor Glover, Shannon Walker, and Soichi Noguchi.

September, 2022 – United Launch Alliance Atlas V, SES-20 & SES-21
SES-20 will be the first GEOStar-4000 satellite and is designed to provide C-band television and broadband services over North America, Central America, the Caribbean, and parts of South America. SES-21 will provide Ku-band connectivity for aeronautical and maritime users in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.

October 3, 2022 – SpaceX Falcon 9, USCV-5 (NASA Crew Flight 5)
This will be the fifth launch of SpaceX’s Crew Dragon spacecraft and the first to use a reused Falcon rocket and crew capsule. The mission will carry four astronauts to the ISS for a six-month stay. All four astronauts are from NASA: Mike Hopkins, Victor Glover, Shannon Walker, and Soichi Noguchi.

October 2022 – SpaceX Falcon 9, CRS 26 (NASA Cargo Flight)
This will be the twenty-sixth flight of SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft to deliver cargo to the International Space Station under the contract of NASA’s Commercial Resupply Services. The mission will carry approximately 4400 kg of supplies and payloads, including science experiments, crew supplies, and hardware.
