Matt Cutts Announces New Google Penguin Update

For the layperson this simply means Google constantly makes changes to their search process that they feel makes the results more valuable and accurate for the searcher. The newest roll out to these changes is scheduled to be made soon.

means that it will be a major shake up for people and companies that have been using tricks and outdated practices to show up higher in Google search results.

Olympusweb.com actually looks forward to all these updates when they happen. We still see the improvements that need to be  made on a daily basis to the way search engines rank websites. Every time Google has made a major search engine result roll out we have benefited.

Cutts went on to say “Likewise, we’re still in the early stages of Penguin where the engineers are incorporating new signals and iterating to improve the algorithm. Because of that, expect that the next few Penguin updates will take longer, incorporate additional signals, and as a result will have more noticeable impact. It’s not the case that people should just expect data refreshes for Penguin quite yet.”
