Creating Customers by Proximity

boosting a postWhat does this mean? Basically, it is the business philosophy of being seen today can lead to customers tomorrow. This is why it is important to churn out content. The article you write today may plant the seed in the customer’s mind. They may think of you the next time they need a service that you offer. You can gain a future client tomorrow by simply being in their proximity today.

Blogging

Creating a blog post as often as you can and sharing on social media is a good way to constantly remind people that you exist. If they are unaware of your business, they will never call on you.

People read blogs about topics which interest them. So, don’t be afraid to stray a little off topic. Your business may be about hardwood flooring but your blog can be about anything from the real estate market to Bitcoin. Just make sure to come back to center by adding a wood flooring blog in there every once in a while.

Content

Regular website content is attractive to search engines. The more pages they can serve the better. So, if your business is hardwood flooring, to use the example from above, you can create dozens of content pages on your main site. Each page can be specific about a type of flooring, laminate, supplier, whatever. The wider the net you cast, the more fish you catch.

Boost

Boosting on social media can be profitable. The main thing it does well is it gets your site in front of clients who otherwise may never have come across it. If the article is well written and has a nice image attached to it, people will click, even if it says “sponsored” next to it.

One word of advice: don’t overdo it with the boosting. Chances are you will get  a lot of the same people targeted in your boost campaign. You don’t want to come across “spammy”. I have found that boosting one article per week for a day or two to be a formula that works.
